Medical Laboratory Technician
Meet the Medical Lab Technicians who are specialists who use lab equipment and test procedures to determine the health of tissue and blood samples. The Lab at TCMC provides testing on clinical specimens in order to obtain information about the health of a patient for the purposes of diagnosis and treatment. Medical Laboratory personnel perform the duties necessary to complete the diagnostic testing on patient samples. Some other positions include a phlebotomist, which collects blood samples from patients, a clinical assistant which processes blood and bodily fluid samples to prepare for analysis, a medical laboratory technician or scientist which helps identify disease states or disorders and the lab operations manager/director who oversees the lab's operations and personnel.
