Meet a Labor & Delivery (L&D) Nurse who cares for mothers during labor and birth and provides the newborn’s initial postpartum care under the supervision of a physician. They must excel in communication and understanding the parent’s psychological and medical needs. Tri-City Medical Center’s Beatrice Riggs French Center for Women and Newborns offers a complete program of childbirth services to help each family get ready for their new baby. Our state-of-the-art technology and award-winning professionals provide the best possible care. Our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is the largest in North County and cares for newborns in need of advanced care.
